Despite being warned not to go to Yellow Chilli I still braved it for lunch .
Is this really a Sanjeev K venture??
Well if this really is a Sanjeev Kapoor venture, then this aint doing any good to his reputation...Tried out the lunch buffet....
This is the worst place I've ever been for a buffet!
The spread was not worth the money ....
I Was led to this place due to Sanjeev repu....but turned out to be a damp squib.....
The decor is pretty nice, bright and airy . Lunch is a buffet with no option of ordering A La Carte.
The FOOD:
Each table has the option to be served one veg and one non veg starter. While my husband's chicken starter atleast looked edible, my veg starter was a disaster....some batter fried starter in a hideous dark red colour (really people, is food colouring still legal?) which had been clearly fried many hours ago and re-heated in the microwave. Blechhh!
The soup wasn't too bad,Dal wasn't bad (that does NOT mean it was good!) nor was the VAGUE sticky aloo .
Apparently the chicken dish was not too bad either. A standard Paneer dish and some boring pulao were also on offer. Both non-veg gravies tasted the same; brown gravies with tomato & onions. The biryani was COLD.
The Dessert choices were some sort of Kheer (really guys KHEER as dessert in a "fine" restauarant)
and gulab jamun (way way sweet) with some awful air-filled vanilla ice cream.
Well, this is just another joint in a plush locality where they have decided to serve gibberish food! If you truly value your taste buds and your wallet as well,do NOT visit this place. There
are better options located in the vicinity :)
They had absolutely no clue about what was happening.
Overall, a very bad experiene. Not Expected from a Sanjeev Kapoor establishment for sure.
