In their effort of making citizens aware of local environmental issues and of raising debates and discussions on the related topics, the Documentary Circle of Hyderabad, Alliance Française Hyderabad and Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad introduce Point of View. Point of View is a monthly appointment for everyone who is interested in the future of our ecosystem, where documentaries will be screened, followed by open discussions led by experts in the relevant fields. Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad kick off the series with the French documentary Home, followed by a discussion led by Mr. P Kishan Rao, an agricultural consultant who gave up his job in IIT to pursue farming, and Dr. Babu Rao, a scientist expert in global warming and climate change. Home is a 2009 documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is supposedly threatening the ecological balance of the planet. The movie was released simultaneously on June 5, 2009, in cinemas across the globe. Opening in 181 countries, the film broke the world record for the largest film release in history.
