Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
() Else at Ravindra Bharati, by and with: Viktoria Hauke: artistic direction, choreography, dance, Olaf Reinecke: dance and cocreation, AndreasOtto: (pingpung records): Cello. Videoprojection: Josephine Boettiger. What is special about the word "else" is that it cannot be by utself. But it makes sense as soon as it comes together with another word: Something else. Somewhere else, who else? The blank space between the title "()else" stande for this kind of connection. "() else" is a dance performance for two dancers, man and woman, and a cellist in a videolight projection. It's about the constantly changing interaction of forces between what appears to be "self" and "other". To begin with there is the dancing of Viktoria Hauke and her partner Olaf Reinecke. It gets under one's skin to see, how separate the two of them are together on stage. Victoria Hauke lives and works as a freelance choreographer/dancer, based in Hamburg. After her dance education in New York, including studies in contemporary dance (Diploma at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary dance), ballet, yoga, voice, release techniques and taichi, she worked with numerous choreographers and theatre directors in USA, Europe and China.
