The first time we went to the Square, we weren't buying. However, we've been back there twice after that - in spite of the hefty bills - and we'll be going back there again and again.
In a nutshell, the Square is simply the best place in Hyderabad for a long, leisurely meal with that someone special!
The Square has a stupendous buffet - whether you're there for their Sunday brunch or dinner. Liquor in some form is usually included, and the spread is one of the biggest I've seen anywhere in the world.
The ambience too is brilliant - you can sit in air-conditioned comfort inside, or dine al fresco poolside if the weather's nice. The poolside also has gazebos - which means if there is a light misting rain that makes the place look so romantic, you can still eat outside.
The buffet is simply too much to take at one go - which is why I keep stressing the 'leisurely' part of the Square's appeal. The best way to make the most of your Square experience is to arrive as early as possible. Call ahead and make a reservation, especially if you're planning on a Sunday brunch. Once you arrive, spend as much time as you possibly can, and make your way through the culinary maze that is on offer.
The buffet seems to go on and on - there are three live counters apart from a live dessert counter. The buffet usually has Indian (North, South, Tandoori), Continental and Asian food. The dessert counter is inspiring, and dessert is a second meal in itself. It is also a culinary trip around the world - where else can Umm Ali and meringues rub shoulders?
The only downside is the price. But then, if you're celebrating, it shouldn't really matter.
