not good service 2012-01-22
Today we had been to this restuarant with a lot of expectations about good authentic kerala food. We had to wait for 15min for someone to pick our order, but what ever was on menu card was not available. We ordered fish fry small , expecting to get a small fish on platter , but to our dismay we got a slice of the fish which cost us 200 bucks!! , upset we asked for chicken biryani which was equally tasteless with very low quality rice and salty raitha.
Think twice before going here as the ambience is worst without any cleanliness. -

Decent place!! 2011-10-10
Overall, we were satisfied with the food. And it went easy on the pocket as well. A little better ambience, and better service could have made this a great experience, but it was good one nevertheless. From the menu, and as expected, this place should be a feast for any non vegetarian. For my vegetarian friends, as long as you don't mind beef and fish being served around you, this is a place you should try. As I said, their Porottas are the best I have had so far!

one place which gives you the proper mallu experience... ordinary appearances... extra-ordinary food. The only woe is probably the fact that amidst all the meat and fish, the vegetarian section is quite lacking. -

There are some places where u don't care about the ambience and the decor.
At the end of the day, it's just plain simple Great food that counts.
Utupura is surely one of them. Staying in Hyderabad for more than an year now, I found out this place just a couple of months ago.
Basically, It's a Kerala restaurant tucked deeped inside an alley behind the City Centre.
DId I say a restaurant? Well , its a 1BHK apartment on the 1st floor which has been turned into a restaurant.
But all these things become irrelevant, when uhave ur first bite...
