I am among the very few people on this earth who do a lot of research before doing any thing.
Choosing ZOUK as my first pubbing experience in Hyderabad. I have been a pub hopper during my stay in US. I wanted my first one here to be good. Thanks to Burrp it gave me the lead to choose Zouk.
We were a huge group of 17 and reached there around 8:30. The manager, Mr. Thomas, was very helpful and co operating. He pre-reserved a table for us long back. It was empty though. We ordered our drinks and snacks which were too expensive.
The drinks arrived a little late... one shot and we were ready to hit the dance floor. The dance floor is pretty decent. By 10 PM the crowds started pulling in too. The crowd were pretty decent too. There were too many photographers clicking aways on the guests. The atmosphere became electric with time. The DJ knew the pulse of the crowd.
Only negative point is the closing time, 11:45 PM and the police had already arrived to fill their booty.
All in all, Zouk rocked our day and we lived with smiles on our face.
The cover charges:
STAG entry is 2000/- which includes a tab of 1700/-.
Couple entry is 1500/- which includes a tab of 1200/-.

Nicely tucked away in the heart of the city :o). Located at the metropolitan mall, it is an outstanding place to hangaround - drink, dance and make merry.
Zouk has a cover charge of Rs1500 per couple. You pay at the bouncer manifested entrance (trust me I ain't so many fat men in black at any other Hyd'bad pub or discque. Once the payment is made they provide you with a pre-paid swipable card, which is the size of a credit or a debit card - quite fancy.
Visited this place on a saturday night; I always like to be part of the early bird flock - and yes it made a lot of difference. The number of seats are limited so, if you are planning on visiting this place try to make it on or before 9 pm. Else, you run the risk of depending on your pair of legs for rest of the evening/night/dawn :o).
The music isnt all that great to start with, but the tempo begins to build by around 10pm. The tracks played are quite racy and very much dancable. Make sure you catch the space next to the DJ (thats where the dance floor is; It isnt a very large floor but adequate), it tends to be crowded by 11pm and if you are one of the "Sir dance a lot" kinds then you better time your moves properly :).
Now the most important part, some call it poison but I call it essential part of my constitution Note: some commoners also know it as alcohol). Bar tenders are quick and service is better than most other pubs in the city. Of the 1500 bucks you pay at the entrance, you can use 1200 which are loaded in the card. The card is swiped at the machine at the bar. What I found nice about the use of card is that even if you exceed the amount by a few extra bucks, they tend to ignore it and not charge you for it. But I guess it may work the other way as well.
Overall, it was one of the best places I have visted in the city. So far, Ten Downing street is the only one that comes anywhere close in competition.
Note though - Weekends tend to be couples only days so check and get the right company. And yes, did I tell you - if you are one of those celebrity crazy kinds, you may just bump into one.
