A reasonably sized joint in Khairatabad, Tewari Brothers Mithaiwala has some very tasty food being served in the city. Add to it, this is a no-onions-no-garlic place for the several people I believe this counts! :)
I dont wanna sound like a menu mugpot, but the tasty and hygenic food offered here is simply awsome. Try their Tawa pulao, masala paratha with ghatte ki sabji, chola-batura, chaats, lassi, and hot jelebis (on Sundays!) among other sweets. Their meals offered at lunch are also a perfect blend of the niceties the place.
Its midnight and my mouth's watering again!

Another feather in the BJN cap.
Having spent decades in Bangalore, the BJN group of hotels has become a trustworthy name for me. With an entire floor of my favorite BJN hotels in City centre mall, I was overjoyed!
Sahib Sindh Sultan also, keeps up to the traditional high quality expectations in BJN style. Terrific interiors, good / authentic food and satisfactory service invites me to this restaurant over and over again. I must agree with my foodie buddy that their Karara Palak chaat is a must-have! Loved most of the other vegetarian dishes there as well. I expect no less from their non-vegetarian menu as well, though thats to be explored as yet.
But, whatever happened to the concept of reservations??!?! Much as I adore this place, I will NOT wait for over an hour to be seated, when there is a tried and tested concept of reserving a table! Reservations work and work well when treated with responsibility. The only thing disappointing with these Hyderabad branches is the decision to abandon reserving tables. I hope someone is listening!

hit the jackpot in biryani land
Four seasons in Tolichowki has offered me the most mouthwatering biryani till date. A paradise for biryani lovers indeed. Ambience and service is acceptable considering the taste and preparation of the food offered.
Looking forward to more visits with fellow chicken lovers!

Hakka cuisine anyone?!
Kafulok! One of the first few restaurants I visited back when I was new to Hyd, this place offers some real nice Hakka food! A rather no-frills restaurant with a simple ambiance, prompt service and well prepared Chinese food. While the menu offers a good range of veg/non-veg preparations, you can always request a few twist-in-taste variations of your own.
This is one place that has not let me down in the past couple of years!!
