Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
I've always rated Ohri's Serengeti as the number one north Indian restaurant in Hyd. well, if there's one restaurant that can give ohri's some serious competition, it has to be Zafraan Nirvana. Folks, the food here is absolutely ethereal. Its out of the world. i had gone to this place with a friend a few days back and was really impressed with everything. The ambience is as good as any other restaurant's in the city. The service is simply top class. And, the food is one of the best you'll find in Hyd. It is definitely expensive though. A complete meal for two including the starteres and dessersts... read more
Went to this place a few days back. We first tried our hand at the golf. It was quite ordinary.like a kids golf course. A few mins into our game, it started absolutely pouring down. We waited for the rain to subside but by the time that happened the entire place was under water. We had just spent 10-15 mins on the 'golf course', but were asked to pay the full amount!! While it was raining, we decided to try a snack. The service was appalingly bad. I've never seen such poor service anywhere and the food was nothing to write home about. Guys, this place is definitely overrated. Give it a miss, its... read more
Regret the fact that you did not quite enjoy your visit.
However, I wish to make a small, yet very important clarification at this time. As can be seen from my response to the "good" reviews about this place, 'Stir It Up' is only one of the food stalls at 'OfCourse' ( also on Burrp ), the others being "The 19th"-Coffee Shop & Ofcourse - The Miniature Golf place.
While I respect your sentiments, I would appreciate it if you could raise your concerns w.r.t golf at the appropriate forum.
I hope you would agree with me that blemishes of one place should
With regards to the food, am not sure if you had something from "The 19th" or "Stir It Up". That clarification would help us take cognizance, if required. We will ensure that you will not have a similar greivienace at Stir it Up during your next visit.
As for the service, I can speak on behalf of the entire place - As in any food court in any mall/ enternainment center, these are also Self Service stalls, with the appropriate sign boards displayed. If there is any service ( food being brought to your table ), it is only as a goodwill gesture.
Strange as it may seem, there are few restaurants in Hyderabad that have on offer south Indian cuisine for dinner and fewer still that offer A La Carte in this kind. Let?s see now, at the top of my mind I have Chutney?s and Southern Spice that have South Indian Thalis for dinner but even they don?t offer A La Carte. There is of course Malgudi, but let?s just say their A La carte spread, especially vegetarian, is nothing to write home about. Anyway, Malgudi aside, there really is no restaurant you can go to and order a nice vegetable fry (south Indian style) or a steaming hot rasam, sambhar for... read more
4 Seasons in Towli Choki has a reputation of being one of the finest arabic restaurants in the city. So, when its branch opened in Kondapur, close to where I work, i was more than thrilled. Having got bored of the usual Indian and Indianised-Chinese fare, I decided one evening to try out some arabic delicacies.
As we walked in we recieved a warm welcome and were escorted to our seats. The ambience, I thought, was nothing extra ordinary. Not bad, but not great. While the ambienece and setting was pretty run of the mill, the menu certainly was'nt. Quite a few weird sounding arabic dishes,... read more
The latest hangout creating waves in Hyd is On, a resto-lounge located in Jubilee hills opposite KBR park. The USP of this place is clearly its ambience. Both the ambience and music can give any other place in hyd some serious competition. But, once again (Siaa too flattered to decieve), while the ambience was spectacular, the food was a let down. Both the Ravioli and the lasagna were not upto the mark, the former being a touch too spicy and the latter being a tad too bland. Needless to say, with an ambience to kill for, the place is very expensive. The service was impressive though - warm, cordial... read more
