Go Lebanese Ballygunge  |  1 review

This is a small take away joint at the corner of Raja Basanta Roy Rd and Lansdown Road in South Kolkata. It has no proper seating but a few stools scattered right on the footpath if you want to have your food there.

About 8 of us went here on a Saturday evening and ordered Shawarmas and Sheesh Touk. There was quite a crowd in front of the joint and we were told that the food will take at least half an hour. On our request the Sheesh Touks (soft chicken pieces cooked in lebanese style with pita bread , hamous and a green chutney) were prepared earlier and served. They were delicious. The

  • Chaat & Sweets Nov 26, 2011

Bikanerwala Banjara Hills  |  24 reviews

As you enter this shop, you have the sweet counters to your right and ice cream counter to your left. I had come on a specific mission and immediately zeroed in on my prized catch - Bengali gurer sondesh. But my wife suggested that we have some namkeen first- so we settled down with Papri chat and a Raj Kachori in the seating place ahead.

The chaats were really good, one should look at the variety of ingradients put, like sliced veg, many types of namkeens and a variety of chutneys.

Inside the shop towards the end you have the namkeen counters lined up. Starting with varieti

  • Nice & different Andhra Food Nov 23, 2011

Rayalaseema Ruchulu Ameerpet  |  7 reviews

I had visited there old restaurant off Masab Tank long back. Now I decided to sample the fare in their restaurant near the Ameerpet junction.

The menu has a wide array of non-vegetarial food from Andhra region. I had heard that the Natu Kodi Pulusu is a speciality here. However I was not in a mood to have curry, so order for a Kodi Pulao along with Kundelu Vepudu.

The Kodi (or chicken) pulao is different from the Biryani/pulao type of rice dishes available in Hyderabad. It is hoty but low on spice. It comes with a Mirch Ka Salan and raita. I have had Andhra style Biryani

Chef Inam's Steak House 1 Masab Tank  |  11 reviews

I have visited this place twice and have come back very satisfied with the food here. This is possibly the best steak joint in Hyderabad. Ambiance is nothing to write home about but the food is awesome. I have tried Kirraak steak, tenderloins, and their platters which have three different beef and chicken steaks, which can be shared by two people. Must say that I found each item delicious. Plan to visit them shortly for the fish dishes there.

My only complaint is about the size of this joint and cleanliness. It has only 4/5 tables seating max 20 people and cleanliness needs to improve.

  • Great Bong food and ambiance Oct 31, 2011

Calcutta Cabiin Kondapur  |  17 reviews

This restaurant has evolved from its earlier avatar in Jubilee Hills. The New Kondapur restaurant is spacious with comfortable seating. Food remains as great as earlier and the service is top class. Among the menu I just love their mangsho (mutton)

Look forward to a return visit soon. Guys if you want to try good Bong food in Hyderabad, do not miss this joint....
